# Delete a Persona delivery policy

> Remove a Persona policy without revoking the Persona

Remove the policy attached to a Persona. This does not revoke the Persona. A delivery target can still use the Persona, but resolution falls through to the DID policy or ordinary DID services when no Persona policy rule wins.

## Request

<ParamField path="persona" type="string" required>
  The registered Persona whose policy will be removed.
</ParamField>

The body requires action `clear_persona_policy_v2`, the current scope policy nonce, expiration, and one active Persona-controller signature.

<RequestExample>
  ```bash Request theme={null}
  curl --request DELETE \
    --url "https://directory.example.com/delivery-policies/personas/example.com" \
    --header "Content-Type: application/json" \
    --data '{
      "persona": "example.com",
      "action": "clear_persona_policy_v2",
      "nonce": "<policy-nonce>",
      "valid_until": "<epoch-milliseconds>",
      "signer_key_id": "did:openpayload:1111111111111111111111#keys-1",
      "canonical_payload": "<encoded-scale-payload>",
      "signature": "<base64-ed25519-signature>"
    }'
  ```
</RequestExample>

## Response

```json 202 Response theme={null}
{
  "status": "accepted",
  "did": "example.com",
  "extrinsic": "apply_policy_v2_with_proof",
  "tx_hash": "<transaction-hash>",
  "message": "Chain extrinsic submitted"
}
```

## Straight to the point

```http theme={null}
DELETE /delivery-policies/personas/{persona}
```

* Removes the policy, not the Persona
* Action: `clear_persona_policy_v2`
* Restores DID-level fall-through after finalization
* Accepted submission: `202`
