# Get an application

> Read an application registry record from finalized chain state

Read the application ID, control DID, status, revision, and registration block numbers. This endpoint does not register or update an application.

`registered_at` and `updated_at` are chain block numbers. A missing application returns `404`. See [Applications and Personas](/concepts/application-registry) for the registration boundary and the distinct roles of the Application and Persona records.
